Job Description:

Career Contacts is a fractional human resources and recruitment consulting firm, supporting companies throughout Canada and the US.

We provide support with permanent placements, temporary staffing, executive searches, HR consulting, and payroll management. We manage all phases of sourcing, screening, selection, and onboarding and retaining.

Career Contacts is recruiting on behalf of a US-based international non-profit organization seeking a Creative Content Writer (Family). The successful candidate will be reporting to the VP of Education. This role is dedicated to promoting the values and practices that strengthen marriages and families, emphasizing the family as the cornerstone of society. The focus is creating compelling content that inspires strong, multigenerational family connections and fosters resilient, loving relationships. The Creative Content Writer’s primary goal is to develop content that demonstrates the importance and priority of the family and highlights how intimate familial relationships contribute to a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. The ideal candidate will understand that personal development is naturally embedded in family development. They will create content that not only focuses on individual growth but also emphasizes the impact of this growth on the family and marital relationships as a whole. This role is based in the Lanham, MD office, and hybrid/remote options are available. Candidates are required to be currently based in the US.

Start Date: Immediately

Hours: Monday – Friday, with flexibility for occasional extended hours

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $55,000 - $60,000

Location: This role offers hybrid or fully remote work options within the U.S., with occasional travel to Lanham, MD, and Seattle, WA for key events and meetings.

Responsibilities:

Writing and Content Development (50%)

  1. Collaborate with leadership and creative teams to develop and implement impactful content that promotes personal growth and strengthens families, including multigenerational and extended family relationships
  2. Design materials, such as workshops, webinars, and presentations that empower families to build stronger relationships and foster holistic development
  3. Translate complex ideas into engaging, actionable tools ensuring accessibility and measurable impact for families
  4. Develop content illustrating how personal and family development impacts communities and broader society
  5. Ensure all content aligns with the brand's voice and values, working closely with a geographically dispersed core team

Content Application, Collaboration, and Research (50%)

  1. Engage with stakeholders to ensure the relevance and practical application of family-focused content
  2. Research character, creativity, values, skills, and well-being to produce compelling content
  3. Collaborate with team members across domestic and international locations to refine creative approaches
  4. Evaluate societal trends and integrate relevant social science research to maintain impactful, up-to-date content

Requirements:

Core Requirements (50%)

  1. A passion for personal and family growth rooted in universal principles and shared values, with a commitment to fostering strong, resilient families
  2. Exceptional writing, editing, research, and content creation skills with a proven ability to deliver compelling materials
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and collaborators

Professional Experience (30%)

  1. 3-5+ years of experience in personal and family transformation and related content creation
  2. Experience in coaching, training, or leadership roles, with demonstrated success in managing projects and meeting deadlines
  3. Proven experience in personal and family development, preferably in a leadership capacity

Educational Background (20%)

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Family Studies, or a related field is advantageous; substantial equivalent experience will also be strongly considered
  2. Advanced degrees or certifications in coaching, training, or leadership are a plus

Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in MS 365, Google Workplace, modern AI tools, ChatGPT, Zoom, Teamwork, Salesforce, and other similar tools
  2. Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and keyword research
