The Seven Inlets Cosmetologist provides professional hair, skin and nail services as requested by clients and within the scope of licensure. The Cosmetologist must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests. Must hold and maintain a current state license in the Cosmetology field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform various hair and beauty services.
  • Perform various nail services to include manicures, pedicures, polish changes and treatments for hands and feet.
  • Perform facial services for guest using safe, therapeutic, and professional techniques as required.
  • Provide exceptional guest communication regarding treatments and products.
  • Set up workstation with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for preparation and timely execution of all appointments.
  • Escort guests to and from appointments.
  • Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace.
  • Performs all treatments as licensed to the highest level of professionalism.
  • Knowledgeable of all spa services and retail.
  • Remains updated on how to perform each treatment with consistency.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled spa team meetings and cross-training opportunities.
  • Participate in any required trainings and implement practices that are offered.
  • Takes care of his/her own well-being by having good hygiene and wellness practices.
  • Assist in any and all ways when not scheduled to perform spa services. This assistance is to include acting as a receptionist, answering the phone promptly and courteously, scheduling appointments, performing additional services as licensed and trained and selling professional retail products.
  • Current with the industry trends.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Participates in regularly scheduled spa team meetings and cross-training opportunities.
  • Assist in the spa when you do not have an appointment. This assistance is to include acting as a receptionist, answering the phone promptly and courteously, scheduling appointments, performing additional services as licensed and trained and selling professional retail products.
  • Stay Current with industry trends
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A High School Graduate or GED.
  • One or more year experience as a Cosmetologist strongly preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of cosmetology and maintain a current state cosmetologist license.
