About the Position
The Coordinator, Downtown Environment is responsible for overseeing contractors, coordinating maintenance programs, and serving as the primary contact for property management teams to ensure the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the district. Their role significantly impacts the district's environment by maintaining essential systems like irrigation, lighting, and tree health, and providing administrative support to various boards and departments.
Note: This position will be expected to spend time outdoors during all weather conditions.
About the Job
- Oversight and inspection of a variety of contractors involved in the custodial and maintenance needs within the district
- Coordination of the tree health program services
- Initial point of contact with property management teams to provide additional services
- Oversight of irrigation systems in the various corridors the operation team manages
- Coordination of electrical systems, mall globe lights maintenance, repair, and lighting programs. Annual street light inventory
- Inspections of 16th Street, Wynkoop Plaza and Enterprise Districts throughout all seasons
- Administrative support for DDBID & Special District Boards
- Administrative support of department related to creating and sending invoices, monitoring status and associated recordkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial records.
About You
- A minimum of two years’ experience in similar work and background.
- Experience in overseeing multiple contractors and coordinating various maintenance and custodial projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with property management teams and provide administrative support.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, electrical systems, and lighting maintenance, including the ability to conduct inspections and manage repairs.
- Experience with administrative tasks such as invoicing, purchasing, and supporting board activities.
- Keen attention to detail for conducting thorough inspections and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to address and resolve maintenance and operational issues promptly.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service, particularly in a property management or facilities maintenance context.
- A background in facilities management, horticulture, urban planning, or a related field, and any relevant certifications would be beneficial.
