American Sailing is seeking a talented individual to join our marketing team and help us create and maintain an engaging and user-friendly online experience across multiple platforms. The person in this role will be responsible for creating and laying out content across our website, online store, social media, and email marketing platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build responsive landing pages in WordPress using a page builder such as Cornerstone or Elementor.
• Create marketing emails in ConstantContact
• Create social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms
• Apply brand guide principles to all content and ensure a seamless visual experience for the end user
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure strategic, successful on-time project deliveries.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with WordPress, WordPress themes, and WordPress plugins
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite to create visually appealing graphic and video assets
• Knowledge of responsive design and user experience principles.
• Fundamental HTML/CSS/JS skills and a basic understanding of SEO.
• Experience with Elementor, Gravity Forms, LearnDash, ConstantContact, MailChimp, Zoom, Zendesk, or Zapier would be advantageous.
• Experience with sailing and American Sailing Certifications is a plus but not required.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

• A keen eye for design and an attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new tools and technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to function independently and within a team structure.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The individual in this role would collaborate with multiple Marketing team members and report directly to the Creative Director.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position is full-time, i.e. 40 hours per week. It is a remote position so you must have a reliable, quiet work environment, and be capable of working without close supervision. At a minimum, we expect team members to be available for in-sync work between 9am – 2pm Pacific Time, Mondays through Fridays.
