Do you love creating Instagram Reels and memes in your free time? As iMentor’s Content Creator–Instagram, you will be a player focused on creating organic social media video content. This role is a part of the marketing team and leverages organic social media content and community to achieve our brand goals.

As our content creator, you will virtually meet with iMentor’s Senior Manager of Digital Engagement (SMDE) at least twice each month to receive video content assignments to execute. You will be involved in collaborating with the SMDE to design and execute Instagram reels using trending sounds. You will thrive in this position if you are passionate about content creation, and you enjoy watching and engaging with Instagram reels trends. You will be provided with a tripod, Bluetooth microphone, USB drive, and a ring light by iMentor for the purpose of recording.

Must Have

• [EQUIPMENT] A high-quality camera with the ability to shoot high res video
• [TRENDING SOUNDS] In-depth knowledge about how to find and create reels to trending sounds on Instagram
• [EDITING] Has in-depth knowledge about creating and editing Instagram reels in-app or on secondary platforms such as CapCut or iMovie
• [GREAT TIME MANAGEMENT] Great organizational skills and can keep timelines well
• A pulse on Instagram trends
• Experience creating meme-style videos to funny trending sounds
• Experience creating scripted “talking head" videos

Nice to Have

• Previous experience creating content for a non-profit or service-based company in college success or career development
• Has experience creating UGC content
• OK with conducting public interviews (think “Billy on the Street”) for niche days such as National Volunteer Day or International Women’s Day

Role Logistics

• Part-time; 4 hrs/week from July 10th, 2023 to January 10th, 2024
• Rate: $500/month
• Fully remote; must be based in or around NYC for location-based shooting, transportation not provided
