As the Content & Social Media Manager, you will work closely with our Senior Director of Corporate Marketing and our Director of PR and Communications to develop, hone, and execute strategic content from Nerdio’s subject matter experts and build and execute our content and social media strategy to support Nerdio’s growth and increase brand awareness among key technology, business, channel, and trade media based on data and trends.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

Social Media

  • Proactively and strategically map out Nerdio’s social media presence based on trends and data
  • Regularly examine and report on company social performance trends
  • Ongoing management of Nerdio’s social media accounts, including interacting with other industry leaders
  • Execute paid social media ads (LinkedIn) with regular monitoring and adjusting as needed based on engagement
  • Support company and industry events that Nerdio hosts and/or attends through social media

 

 

Content

  • Managing a content team consisting of writers, videographers, etc.
  • Manage and/or draft materials including award submissions, blog posts, articles, media pitches, interview prep documents, etc.
  • Deep-dive into trending topics within our industry to develop new assigned topics (SEO researched) to our on-staff subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Manage the company content calendar, working alongside multiple departments to stay on track
  • Editing, producing, and publishing content and communicating to Nerdio staff
  • Evaluating top performing content based on data (what was shared most, what is most popular, etc.)
  • Execute on content production on a regular basis with a solid pipeline of new content within
  • Provide social media and content reporting, measurement, and analytics on and ongoing basis
  • Work with SEO consultant on trending topics and keywords

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in PR, Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, or similar
  • 5+ years of prior experience managing B2B social accounts required (technology services, SaaS and/or media relations experience preferred)
  • Proven self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent writer and communicator with great attention to detail and ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Positive and professional demeanor and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, clients, partners, vendors, etc.
  • Demonstrated success developing engaging and timely content topics and thought leadership ideas – and executing them
  • Experience managing social media via software or tools, such as HubSpot a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently / remotely while staying proactive and agile
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of SEO & UX necessary
