Title: CAD Drafter

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CAD Drafter to support a major Pacific Northwest utility company on a long‑term project. This fully remote role focuses on delivering high‑quality drafting and design support for both electrical and gas infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will receive assignments directly from Project Managers and Engineers, working through a shared queue to complete approximately 4–6 CAD design projects per day. Projects typically involve base mapping, layout design, and creating safe, accurate site environments for Traffic Control operations. You will collaborate regularly with engineering teams through video calls and digital communication tools.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

1. 3+ year of professional CAD drafting experience
2. Ability to quickly learn customized AutoCAD interfaces
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
4. Strong communication skills, both virtual and in-person
5. Comfortable working fully remote and training via video calls

Nice to Have

1. Experience with a utility or electric company
2. Direct Traffic Control design experience
3. CAD certification
4. Ability to build tool profiles, palettes, and custom features in AutoCAD
5. GIS experience
6. Experience working with permitting departments
