This role represents a unique opportunity to utilize strategic planning, operations improvement, and project execution skills in a complex, global business environment. As Chief of Staff, you must have the ability to think globally and act locally. Being a Chief of Staff to the CEO requires extensive cross-group and cross-boundary coordination at all levels, excellent written and verbal communication, a wide range of analytical capabilities, and the ability to build compelling internal presentations, customer-facing content, and comprehensive business review materials.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, analytical and project management support, and keeps leadership abreast of noteworthy events, milestones and issues in their area of responsibility.
- Support the CEO and Executive Team in making key business decisions by gathering relevant data and insights.
- Lead 2-3 strategic initiatives at any given time; organizes teams and manages to budget and timelines.
- Provide discipline to operational aspects of the Executive and Leadership team’s rhythm of business.
- Plan and execute leadership meetings including developing the agenda, participating in discussions, and tracking, following up on, and reporting on outcomes and action items
- Utilize broad relationships across Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Corporate functions to ensure timely communication and flow of information
- Support CEO engagements with customers, and support and coordinate external communications where needed
- Contributes the development of internal communications deliverables (including emails/voicemails, newsletters, presentations, speaking notes, etc.) to relay key messages or ask for participation/execution on activities.
- Demonstrate professionalism and discretion while working with the Executive team on sensitive business and organizational issues.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree and Master’s degree preferred; OR commensurate experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years experience working in a large, global corporate or professional services environment
- 5+ years working as a consultant preferred
- Ability to balance, lead and advance multiple projects at once
- Unyielding focus on quality results (analyses and deliverables)
- Flexibility, agility, and willingness to adapt on the fly
- Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment
- Capable of synthesizing complex concepts and translating quantitative and qualitative analysis into a clear message and an informed response for leadership
- Proven track record for identifying risks and implementing mitigations successfully
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience making complex problems simple
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity to do the right thing, with high executive presence.
