ROLE DESCRIPTION
Snap Fitness Columbus is seeking an experienced Personal Trainer to join our team. The right candidate will have a passion for fitness, strong ability to motivate others, and a thorough understanding of human anatomy and kinesiology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Required
- Design training plans for clients referred to you by Snap Fitness
- Record weekly and monthly body measurements and metrics, update client Training Plans at regular intervals
- Advise clients on ways to achieve their fitness goals in and out of the gym. Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our clients’ personal fitness and exercise goals in conjunction with their Training Plan
- Continually monitor and assist clients to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises
- Schedule and submit training sessions through the client management software
- Safeguard client retention through best training practices and regular check-ins on client progress
- Attend virtual or in-person meetings with management to promote development
Preferred
- Innovate strategies to enhance your gym presence and engage members in training services
- Conduct group or small-group fitness classes, clinics or workshops scheduled by Snap Fitness
- Participate in gym events and marketing initiatives
- Lead current clients to higher training frequencies and engagement in further services
- Ability to train at 2 or more locations, independent mode of transportation
- Other Snap Fitness- Columbus locations include, German Village, Short North, Grandview, and Upper Arlington
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, mandatory
- Certification: Minimum of CPT from ACSM, NSCA, NASM or ACE (No other certifications will be accepted, please do not apply.)
- AED/CPR Certified (or) ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire date
- Personal trainer insurance (or) ability to obtain insurance within 60 days of hire date
- 1-2 years training experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or greater in a Health Science related field, preferred
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
- Hours are on a contract basis and clients may or may not be available upon hire date
- Strong candidates will have a willingness to manage as many as 20+ clients or as few as 1 with an expectation of referral growth over time
- Locations: Bexley, German Village, Short North
- Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
