Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD-level AI Researcher to lead and contribute to advanced AI/ML research initiatives in healthcare. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background who want to apply research to real-world healthcare problems. You will work closely with clinicians, engineers, and product teams to design, validate, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, research, and develop advanced AI/ML models for healthcare use cases such as disease prediction, risk stratification, and patient outcome analysis.
2. Conduct applied research using large-scale healthcare datasets and translate findings into production-ready solutions.
3. Explore and implement state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics for medical data.
4. Collaborate with physicians, product designers, and engineers to align AI research with clinical and business needs.
5. Evaluate model performance, interpretability, fairness, and clinical relevance.
6. Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.
7. Stay updated with the latest AI research, publish findings when applicable, and propose innovative healthcare AI solutions.
8. Mentor junior AI/ML engineers and contribute to building a strong research culture within the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
2. Strong research background in AI/ML with publications or thesis work in relevant domains (preferred).
3. Excellent programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
4. Solid understanding of deep learning architectures, optimization techniques, and model evaluation.
5. Experience working with healthcare data (EHR, medical imaging, biosignals, wearable data) is a strong plus.
6. Knowledge of NLP, medical chatbots, clinical prediction models, or computer vision for healthcare is highly desirable.
7. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
8. Ability to bridge academic research with real-world product development.
