QTC is seeking candidates for our CAOHC Technician (Audiology Tech) opportunities for our Reserve Health Readiness Program III (RHRP-3)

  • Reserve Health Readiness Program 3 (RHRP-3) provides health readiness support services, such as mental health assessments and post-deployment health reassessments, to the military Reserve Components nationwide and Active Duty Components in remote areas. They deliver services by group events and in-clinic individual appointments and by providing call center support.

 

The part would you play in this mission.

The CAOHC Technician (Audiology Tech) performs comprehensive audiometric evaluations as directed by an audiologist.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Perform a variety of audiometric procedures to include audiometric testing, data entry, and administrative functions
  • Assist Audiologist with audiometric testing procedures
  • Up to 70% Travel to Military Installations and events around the U.S to assist in hearing testing for active duty service members
  • Perform a high volume of "pure tone threshold" hearing testing
  • Maintain safe and sanitized areas, following guidelines for instrument storage and sterilizations
  • Monitor and order supplies for the Audiology program
  • Utilize computerized and manual equipment to perform tests
  • Assemble patient charts, record orders and integrate test results
  • Review medical records for hearing evaluations
  • Check and calibrate audiometric instruments and equipment; calibrates audiometric equipment on a daily basis, saves and reports results monthly
  • Identify possible cases of exaggerated hearing loss and schedule additional testing to confirm or rule out hearing loss
  • Inform patients regarding audiometric test results and provide hearing health education
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

You must have:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates Degree from an accredited college in engineering or biomedical equipment technology preferred
  • Must have or obtain CAOHC certification prior to starting
  • 1 year of audiology or hearing technology experience
  • Must be able to travel and work weekend events at various Military installations around the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass U.S. Air Force and/ or Department of Defense certification course
  • Must be able to successfully pass contractually required Federal background check

Work Schedule

Remote work is available for this position.Must have ability to work a flexible schedule including 70% travel to attend events on weekends.

 

Pay and Benefits:

Pay Range $22-29 per hour based on experience + full benefits
