YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing the kitchen, under the direction of the Kitchen Manager. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff
- Ensure foods are prepared in accordance with company standards for quality, freshness, consistency, and timelines
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely via OSHA regulations
- Ensure proper food storage and safe handling practices
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of foods as order volume dictates
- Oversee the managerial aspects of the Kitchens, with focus on Food Cost, labor Cost, scheduling
- When needed, fill in when shifts are open
- Other duties as dictated by Kitchen Manager and General Manager in order to run smooth BOH operations
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Assistant Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Manager in a $3M+, quick-service or full-service restaurant
- Thrive in busy, high-volume operations
- Display strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Self-driven, motivated with a positive attitude
- Open availability
- Local candidates only
- Fluent in Spanish. English a plus
