Account Manager Responsibilities

1. Secure strong media coverage through outreach and creative storytelling
2. Provide thoughtful advice and recommendations to clients
3. Write and edit press materials, pitches, and reports
4. Track and report results using coverage reports and trackers
5. Support clients with speaking opportunities, awards, and industry recognition
6. Prepare materials and talking points for media interviews
7. Manage weekly and monthly deliverables for clients
8. Lead execution of client announcements and press releases
9. Research and build targeted media lists

Skills and Qualifications

1. At least 3 years of experience in a PR agency
2. Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field
3. Proven ability to secure impactful media results
4. Strong organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects
5. Creative thinker with great attention to detail
6. Excellent writing and editing skills
7. Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
8. Must be based in the United States

Compensation

Salary range: $80,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and education. SBS also offers annual bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
