We are seeking an experienced Web Engineer to join our Web Development Team. This role focuses on both frontend and backend development for a Medicaid web application and associated web services. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-driven individual with strong experience in Java, web development, and system integration.

Overview:

You’ll play a key role in designing mobile-ready, platform-independent web interfaces and supporting backend systems. This includes full lifecycle development—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance—of complex web applications that support one of the state's most high-profile IT modernization efforts.

Project Scope:

You’ll work on a large-scale initiative replacing legacy mainframe Medicaid systems with modern technologies. This includes supporting the web portal and EDI services framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces
2. Support backend web services and APIs
3. Conduct unit/system testing and ensure application performance
4. Assist with production support and maintenance activities
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones
