The role:

As VP of People, you will continuously evaluate and improve strategy, policy, systems, and processes to scale Nacelle’s remote-first team. You thrive in the role of HR in organizational transformation – adapting and integrating service delivery, talent, and technology into HR strategy to create business value. You will partner with executives and team leaders to build and support their organizations. As the VP of People, you will inspire the team to do their best work of their career while giving them the platform to do so.

This role will report directly to the CEO and may involve direct communication with the Board of Directors.

In this role you will:

• Execute your core fiduciary duty of maximizing shareholder value by creating a world-class start-up team and winning culture
• Develop strategic People plans and policies regarding recruitment, training, and compensation
• Own and optimize People team processes and core services to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Analyze the effectiveness of People operations and policies
• Lead and manage a growing People team responsible for managing employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle; coach and build the skillsets of your team and your direct reports
• Build strong and effective cross-functional relationships, including Legal, Finance, Security and Compliance, to ensure business processes are optimized
• Continuously improve our HR technology stack and processes related to leveraging technology to get an edge
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of local, global, and federal employment laws
• Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices
• Decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity and diversity

Minimum qualifications:

• 8+ years of People/HR management experience
• 5+ years of working at a venture-backed, fast-scaling tech start-up
• 3+ years of remote work experience
• Previously owned the People strategy at a hyper-growth SaaS company
• A strong understanding of HR fundamentals and compliance
• Ability to handle highly sensitive & confidential data with integrity
