Overview

Our Mission:

Cage Undefined is an organisation of passionate animal rights volunteers, aiming to modernise the animal liberation movement. We do this by creating cutting-edge infrastructure and providing technical services for free to changemakers in the movement.

About the Role:

As a volunteer WordPress developer with Cage Undefined, you’ll use your technical skills to support the animal rights movement. We collaborate with vegan organizations, initiatives, and ethical businesses to build and maintain websites that amplify their impact.

Your main focus will be fixing and improving existing websites, though there may also be opportunities to build new ones as projects grow.

Requirements:

1. Strong commitment to the vegan lifestyle and animal rights values
2. Solid experience building and maintaining WordPress websites
3. Good knowledge of CSS and JavaScript
4. Experience with Elementor, WooCommerce is a plus

Schedule and Time Commitment:

1. Flexible — contribute whatever time you can spare, with a minimum of 2 hours per week
2. Remote position — work from anywhere
3. This is a volunteer opportunity

Availability:

We’re looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and is excited to use their skills to make a real difference.

We are ethical animal rights activists with valuable skills that we coordinate to effectively bolster the animal rights movement in any way we can. We are working towards a world where cages cease to exist, where no living being dies unnecessarily, suffers oppression, or is abused in any way. We hope that one day, all cages are not only eradicated but that the definition of cages doesn’t even exist in our vocabulary.

We believe that a cruelty-free future requires a radical reimagining of the tools we use to fight for it. By harnessing the power of technology, we are building a stronger, more connected movement for animal liberation.
