Company Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Communications Designer to join our dynamic team focused on internal communications and the rollout of our cloud brand across a variety of visual deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to work on visually compelling presentations, product strategies, customer pitches, and executive reviews within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Role Overview: As a Visual Communications Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality visual artifacts that align with our product vision. This role requires a creative thinker with exceptional design skills, particularly in PowerPoint, Figma, and stakeholder collaboration.
Typical Day in the Role:
- Purpose of the Team: The team's primary focus is to ensure that visual designs align with various internal communications deliverables, with a special emphasis on the cloud brand rollout.
- Key Projects: Design visually compelling presentations for product strategies, customer pitches, and executive reviews. Produce UI visual designs for cloud products in collaboration with UX designers. Create supporting visual content such as product vision videos and infographics.
- Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role involves initial collaborative meetings (20-30%) followed by independent design work (70-80%).
Candidate Requirements:
- Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as a Visual Designer.
- Degrees or Certifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Disqualifiers: Candidates without storytelling experience or those primarily focused on research/interaction design will not be eligible.
- Best vs. Average Candidates: Ideal candidates will have expertise in storytelling, branding, Figma, PowerPoint (expert level), Viva Engage, SharePoint (branding), and video editing. Experience in financial services is a plus.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required:
- Minimum 6 years experience with PowerPoint (Expert level).
- Minimum 6 years experience with Figma.
- Minimum 6 years experience with stakeholder collaboration for Visual Design.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions for communication challenges.
- Develop layouts and production designs for publications and web interfaces.
- Prepare sketches and layouts for client presentations.
- Create charts and graphs based on provided data.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in design or graphic design certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in visual design.
- Strong creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Adobe design software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
