AWS is seeking a seasoned Global Sales Representative to continue expansion of Amazon Connect, Amazon’s Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS). The ideal candidate will have global sales experience in areas such as call/contact center, customer experience CX, telecommunications, VoIP, CRM/ERP applications, and/or the integration of these complex solutions. Candidates should be a self-starter and willing to operate both tactically and strategically. As a key team member in this rapidly expanding, exciting market space, you will have the opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of a service category that will have a significant impact on our customers’ business.

Your responsibilities will include building and managing a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record and background that enables them to lead a sales effort that will include teaming with AWS Industry Account Managers, Solutions Architects, Partners and engagements at the CxO level within the largest AWS accounts. The successful candidate will also possess a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical understanding that enables them to easily interact with developers and technical architects. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus.

This position can be remote, but candidates must be based near an AWS office location (San Francisco, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Irvine, San Diego, Portland, Scottsdale/Phoenix, Denver).

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share for AWS.
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute against a territory plan to grow customer use of Amazon Connect
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Work with partners and OEM’s to extend reach & drive adoption of Amazon Connect.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Some travel required.

Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market.
