Introduction
The Adobe Design Content Strategy (ADCS) team—a mighty group of content strategists, content designers, and UX writers focused on in-product user experience—is looking for a passionate, creative manager to help align, grow, and evolve our practice across Adobe’s ecosystem.
What You’ll Be Working On
Adobe is in a phase of rapid evolution on many fronts and Adobe Design is at the heart of all of it. Our Content Strategy team is part of a large, centralized design organization that works horizontally across the company. Our team has impact on practically all of Adobe’s product portfolio.
As Senior Content Strategy Manager, you’ll be leading a group of UX content strategists across several teams, and will partner closely with leaders from Design, Product, and Engineering to build high-quality experiences at scale across many dozens of products, and will play a key role in building our next generation of products.
And that’s where you come in:
- You’ll directly manage content strategists across several teams.
- You’ll be involved in high-level strategy decisions and will need to help align your team toward that direction.
- You’ll partner with our program management team to create processes and opportunities for feedback and collaboration.
- You’ll work with your manager — the director of the Adobe Design Content Strategy team — to align on central practices and strategies.
- You’ll help advance the content strategy practice within Adobe and will develop your team’s growth.
As an experienced and thoughtful content designer as well as a deeply empathetic leader, you’ll be helping a smart, passionate group of people grow in their career and get set up for success. You’ll experience plenty of ambiguity, but you’ll also have the support of your manager and the design leadership team to continue to grow and lead in Adobe Design.
Must-haves
- 3+ years direct people management experience in content design, UX content strategy, or UX writing
- 8+ years experience within content design, UX content strategy, or UX writing
- A track record and passion for managing, mentoring, or helping content designers grow in their field
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to apply content design across a sophisticated, interconnected ecosystem
- The ability to develop and present narratives, create strong partnerships, and build support for the team
- Experience leading in and navigating complex org structures at large, diverse organizations
- Outstanding writing and communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail
- Experience crafting and governing content standards, terminology, and UX writing efforts at a company with digital products
- Experience working with a design system or a centralized design team
- Experience working on a highly visible brand or a legacy product offering
To be considered for this role, please submit your resume and portfolio. In your portfolio, we’d like to see a strong writing foundation, and examples of systems- thinking approaches to design. Any stories you have to tell about growing or aligning a team toward that project would be useful and appreciated.
This position is full-time and can be anywhere within the United States. We have offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, New York in particular. Remote candidates (based in the US) will also be considered.
