The Talent Systems North American Marketing team is spread across the USA, Latin America, India and Australia. Our team works to create and promote engaging, informative content for users across multiple brands and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure that our website portfolio is optimized for search according to industry best practices.
Job Purpose: We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist with a passion for all things social to join us. As our Social Media Specialist, you will support the execution of global organic social media content and operations across the Talent Systems brands, including creative and copy development, content planning & publishing, multi-channel video content creation and community management across all social media platforms. The Social Media Specialist will partner closely with the Social Media Manager to carry out the social media marketing strategies that promote brand awareness, brand loyalty, consideration, drive audience growth and engagement, and educate and inspire our audience of performers and industry professionals to use our platform.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Strategy Implementation
- Executing the social media content scheduling created by the Social Media Manager across all Talent Systems brands on a weekly to monthly basis.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to implement all aspects of the Talent Systems social media strategies - collectively brainstorm new strategies, while also enacting best practices set forth by the Social Media Manager.
- Individually seek out and suggest new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager to create engaging content for Talent Systems' social media presence.
- Manage the Casting Networks' social media presence on TikTok (implementing all aspects of the TikTok social strategy).
- Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content.
- Develop and design content to increase reach, engagement, and brand loyalty - meeting and surpassing our 12-month benchmarks in Bloom.
- Instagram - Images, Carousels, Stories, Reels, repurposing UGC, Success Stories, Interviews, Instagram Live, Questions, Role listings
- Facebook/LinkedIn - Images, Infographics, Educational content, Blog posts, Job posts
- TikTok - Skits, Tutorials/Educational
- YouTube - Repurposing blog content to create longer form educational videos or YouTube Shorts
- Deliver content by its due date so it can be scheduled accordingly
- Assist with the development of the tone of voice guide for how we “speak” across social media, and how this is defined for each brand or channel.
Community Management and Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely manner as per our social media handbook.
- Contribute as a key player in the day-to-day customer conversation on brand social channels, bridging the gap between customer service and support where needed.
- Identify brand-appropriate content creators/influencers and assist the Social Media Manager with the implementation of the Talent Systems Influencer social media strategy.
- Assist the Social Media Manager with crisis management procedure development, escalate comments or posts when appropriate, and maintain timely communication via email, Slack, phone, or text during crisis situations.
Analytics and Improvement
- Provide weekly/monthly reporting and review analytics to assess success and recommend improvements.
- Keep social media channels updated and brand-focused (for each brand).
- Keep abreast of industry stories and trends on a weekly basis and share with the larger team how these can be used to engage our audience on social media.
- Categorize and tag user feedback from comments, posts/stories, and direct messages to inform product enhancements and support continuous improvement efforts.
Event Coverage and Campaign Management
- Assist on social media management at industry events and cover live events, awards, etc.
- Manage the running of competitions and surveys on social media, as well as running ‘themed' social events (e.g., hosting special programs such as Instagram or TikTok challenges, going “live”, etc).
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Act as backfill and cover within the North American Social Media team.
- Maintain timely communication with the Social Media Manager and other cross-functional team members via email and Slack, especially during a crisis situation.
- Learn new social media tactics and skills and turnkey train/educate the larger team.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Availability and Experience
- Must be in the LA office two days per week.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including occasional weekends, as needed.
- Real time posting of industry events or awards on Instagram stories (reactions, running polls, answering questions, photographing), Threads (text-based updates), TikTok (videography), etc.
- Capturing live coverage at events, including interviews with guests or other attendees
- Potentially live streaming on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook.
- 2+ years of social marketing and communications experience.
- Experience with all necessary software and platforms
- Necessary: Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube
- Nice to haves: Brandwatch/Sprout Social/Hootsuite (or similar), Google Analytics, Canva, Capcut, Adobe Creative Suite, Smartsheet (or similar), Figma, and Linktree
Skills and Interests
- A true passion for social media, content trends, and organic community building.
- Extremely organized with familiarity using social media scheduling and project management tools.
- Comfortable being on camera for images, audio, video, or live streams.
- A natural-born storyteller with a talent for crafting compelling narratives that captivate and engage audiences.
- High attention to detail with a keen eye for on-brand creative design and messaging.
- Familiarity with and interest in the casting and performing arts industry.
- A desire to learn new things and continuously improve themselves.
- Keen understanding of pop culture trends and the ability to incorporate relevant references into social media content to enhance relatability and engagement.
- Ability to conduct engaging interviews in-person, over Zoom, or during live streams (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc)
- Possess strong empathetic skills to understand customer perspectives and act as their champion, ensuring their voices are heard and considered within the company.
- Familiarity with or a desire to learn pivot tables, UTMs, and boosting of content

- Experience in a multi-brand environment is desirable.
- Willingness to work together with other teammates to ideate and brainstorm creative ideas for templates, campaigns, evergreen content, or real time trends.
