Social Media Intern


Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Social Media Intern to join our team. In this role, you will create video content and help plan, create, and execute social media strategies that enhance brand awareness, foster engagement, and drive growth across various platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for current events, arts and culture, content creation, social media trends, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Management:

  1. Develop and schedule engaging, high-quality content (graphics, videos, copy) tailored for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
  2. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure brand consistency across all posts and campaigns.

Strategy & Execution:

  1. Assist in the development of social media strategies to meet marketing objectives and KPIs.
  2. Identify opportunities for campaigns, trends, and partnerships to increase engagement and follower growth.

Community Engagement:

  1. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a strong community connection.
  2. Engage with followers, influencers, and other relevant accounts to build relationships and brand affinity.

Analytics & Reporting:

  1. Track and report performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, etc.) across all platforms.
  2. Analyze trends and provide insights to optimize future content and campaigns.

Trend Monitoring:

  1. Stay up to date on the latest social media tools, trends, and platform updates.
  2. Propose creative ideas and strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  2. Experience managing social media platforms (internships included).
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  4. Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  1. Proficiency in social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform insights).
  2. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  3. Understanding of influencer marketing and partnerships.
