Job Description:

Are you an avid Disney fan with a love for all things travel? We're in search of a dynamic Social Media Manager who's not only passionate about Walt Disney World but also well-versed in other Disney destinations, cruises, tropical, and other magical getaways. If you've spent countless magical moments in the parks, are well-versed in all things Mickey, and have a genuine wanderlust for travel, then this might just be the dream job for you!

As our Social Media Manager, you'll be the creative force behind our social media presence, crafting compelling content that showcases the magic of Disney vacations in all their forms. From captivating text posts to engaging video content, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and excite our audience across various platforms. But it's not just about posting – you'll also play a key role in fostering meaningful connections with our followers, answering questions, and fostering a sense of community among Disney enthusiasts.

In this role, you'll be entrusted with safeguarding our brand image and ensuring it remains consistent and aligned with our marketing objectives. We're looking for someone who's not only well-versed in the latest digital trends and deeply passionate about all things Disney travel, but also someone with excellent creative skills. Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with all the latest Disney news and developments and share with our audience to demonstrate expertise.
  • Manage a comprehensive range of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube to build our audience and convert followers to clients.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Create and publish engaging content daily across multiple platforms.
  • Ensure brand consistency and collaboration across teams.
  • Monitor audience engagement and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain visual aesthetics of social media profiles.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and technologies.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Deep Understanding of Disney Culture: A profound knowledge and passion for Disney (beyond movies) is essential for creating authentic and engaging content.
  • Social Media Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing and growing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok, with a strong understanding of their algorithms and best practices.
  • Content Creation and Editing: Strong skills in content creation, including writing captivating copy, capturing high-quality photos and videos, and editing them to suit different platforms and audience preferences.
  • Visual and Design Proficiency: Ability to create visually appealing graphics, typography, images, and videos that align with the brand's aesthetic and resonate with the target audience.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in fostering meaningful interactions with followers, responding to inquiries promptly, and managing user-generated content to enhance community engagement and loyalty.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, and conversions, to track the performance of campaigns and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Adaptability and Proactiveness: Ability to adapt to changing trends and algorithms in social media and proactively seek opportunities to innovate and improve content strategies.
  • Proven Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Social Media Marketing or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, preferred. Consideration will also be given to recent grads and senior students working towards their degree.
  • Location Proximity to Walt Disney World (Bonus): While this is a remote position, proximity to Walt Disney World is advantageous for capturing original content firsthand and staying connected to the latest happenings in the Disney community.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $350.00 - $450.00 per week

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
