Job Description:

The Stage Manager position is responsible for performing daily duties specifically associated with the recruitment of personnel and the daily operations for the Christmas Parade and Meet & Greet Team. In addition, the Stage Manager will make informative decisions in conjunction with the Parade Tech and Float Driver Leads regarding safety, costume assignments and repairs, parade logistics and covering the absence of key personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Partner with the Human Resources Team on the recruitment processes and securing the required documentation
  • Recruit and supervise approximately 65 hosts to serve as characters, handlers and drivers
  • Consult with the Parade Production Team on the casting of parade personnel
  • Coordinate the set-up and strike of the Parade production areas and any additional areas as required.
  • Create and maintain master documents to reflect schedules and call times, personnel attendance, disciplinary actions etc.
  • Ensure the Parade book is current to include polices & procedures, maintenance & repair logs, purchasing etc.
  • Ensure that every team member understands and embraces ‘Safety First’ at all times
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all the parade production areas and Float Barn
  • Timely and accurate (daily) communication with Leads, Parade Personnel, and Entertainment Leadership
  • Other duties may be assigned specific to the ongoing needs of the daily operations of the Parade and other areas as required.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) are required.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in theatrical stage management in Theme Park, Cruise Ships and/or Regional Theatre productions. Theatrical costumer supervisor experience is a plus.
