Key Responsibilities:
- Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes including production flow and assembly methods.
- Design, develop, test, and source tools, machinery, and equipment for manufacturing methods.
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Maintain product lines by implementing changes to improve manufacturability and increase production yield.
- Stay informed on advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment to reduce costs.
- Analyze test data for product qualification to Omega test standards.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using in-house test systems, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic circuits and hardware.
- Develop and build test equipment and systems.
- Perform failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and recommend design or process changes.
Technical Skills and Equipment:
- Experience with pressure transducers, load and torque cells, manual and automatic pressure controllers, and standard electronics equipment (meters, power supplies, scopes, etc.).
- Proficiency in using soldering irons and microscopes for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Knowledge of how these devices work and how to troubleshoot/repair them.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Wheatstone bridge sensor circuit design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Experience with sensor specifications (e.g., temperature gauges, pressure gauges).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Draftsight for 2D drawings, 3D models, and assemblies.
- Experience with Syteline ERP system for item costing, production routings, and bill of materials.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to relate to and assist hourly employees.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary up to $115,000.
