StoryBrand is looking for a software engineer who can help build and design software solutions to real-world problems, and define the next generation of StoryBrand technical infrastructure.

This role is perfect for a passionate engineer with a genuine interest in building beautiful and reusable software. We are looking for someone who strives to create clean, testable, and efficient software that provides a positive experience to both end-users and other developers alike. Our software suite includes landing pages, course platforms, AI tools, online assessments, payment processing, and data analytics, creating a cohesive system to support various business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Contribute in a meaningful way to StoryBrand’s technical infrastructure
2. Write readable and maintainable software that solves real problems for our customers
3. Contribute to planning discussions for technical work
4. Help maintain and improve existing codebases
5. Help define and improve technical processes over time
6. Develop yourself and your skillset

We are building Laravel applications with React front ends. We also support a few Wordpress installs using custom themes.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

1. PHP/Laravel
2. React

4. Familiarity with OpenAI is a big plus
5. Kubernetes familiarity is a big plus
6. Can describe the importance of clean, legible, and testable code
7. Docker
8. Capable of designing flexible software solutions that can be changed and maintained over time
9. Constant communication and collaboration with teammates
10. Ability to learn and grow
