What You Need to Know
We’re looking to add a Senior Copywriter to the Creative team. The Senior Copywriter will collaborate closely with higher-level copywriters to support the conceptualization and development of copy for client medical marketing and educational materials.
What You’ll Do
This Senior Copywriter will be accountable to the VP of Comprehensive Creative Services and the Creative Directors of Copy. The Senior Copywriter is responsible for developing high-quality, compelling marketing content ensuring compliance with FDA guidelines. Additionally, this role will:
- Write persuasive copy for promotional materials related to healthcare products, including drugs, medical devices, and other treatments
- Partner with internal teams, clients, and regulatory staff to ensure all content meets client objectives and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for marketing campaigns
- Write content adhering to FDA guidelines and other medical advertising regulations, ensuring all claims are accurate and substantiated
- Conduct thorough research and analyze clinical data to inform the development of scientific and medical content
- Format and annotate content according to house style or client specifications, ensuring consistency across all materials
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Participate in client and vendor meetings, offering insights and feedback to incorporate adjustments necessary for content completion
What You’ll Have
- A degree in Journalism, English, Marketing/Advertising, or a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in promotional medical writing within an agency setting
- Preferably based on the West Coast or willing to work West Coast hours
- Familiarity with AMA style and writing for digital content, video or audio formats
- Experience in crafting promotional medical content for healthcare products or services
- Deep understanding of FDA and other medical advertising regulations
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and accurate content
- Ability to conduct thorough research and interpret clinical data
- Skilled in handling multiple projects with attention to deadlines and details
- Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft® Office and content/project management tools
