We are looking for a Registered Nurse that wants to use their skills in a Leadership capacity working in a welcoming and caring community!
POSITION SUMMARY:
The RN Clinical Care Manager is responsible for the direction, provision and monitoring of high-quality clinical care and services to residents, consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. Supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by all clinical staff assigned to the designated neighborhood or unit, on all shifts. Encourages each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, through Community programs and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, St. John’s mission and values.
The shift is from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Monday-Friday and occasional On Call.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Must have a current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse license with the State Board of Nursing in MN.
· Minimum of 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, with geriatric setting experience strongly preferred.
· Must have current CPR certificate.
· Critical thinking skills necessary to properly assess situations; synthesize information and make independent role-appropriate decisions as circumstances warrant.
· Demonstrate a positive attitude, self-awareness, and emotional maturity necessary to manage behaviors in a manner that promotes healthy, respectful, and supportive communications.
· Willingness and ability to work outside normal working hours in emergency situations
The position will be the lead person to assess and manage skin and wound care. Must have knowledge of employee scheduling, resident care planning, admissions and discharge procedures.
