A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER

In this position, you help our general manager run the restaurant. Extremely organized, you help create the schedule for each week according to the availability of each employee. If anyone calls in sick, you find somebody to cover the shift. You also oversee staff, making sure each employee is content, on time, and working efficiently. A people person, you help ensure that our customers are satisfied with the service they receive.

Additionally, you assist the manager in keeping track of our front-of-house and back-of-house inventory, supplies, and deliveries. You are highly attentive to detail as you count down registers and ensure that the correct amount of money is in the safe. When orders for delivery come in, you monitor them to make sure that the customer receives their order correctly and on time. You love leading our team and take pride in the part you play in our success!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER

• Leadership skills
• Food handler's permit or the ability to acquire one

Experience managing inventory and scheduling staff is preferred but not required. Are you friendly and personable? Can you communicate effectively? Do you have excellent organizational skills?
