Job Description:

Our firm is currently seeking an Entry Level Remote Accounts assistant to provide accounting assistant to our financial accountants remotely. This is a part-time remote position with flexible hours that can be done from your home office, available to entry level with no experience candidates that want to earn extra income aside.

This is an entry level position suitable for individuals with no experience. We have a robust training program that provides you with all the tools and training needed to be successful, and we provide a full paid training program.

As a part-time role, this position offers tremendous flexibility for individuals seeking rewarding and challenging work but not seeking to work full-time. Job overview:

 

The ideal candidate will assist with the day-to-day accounting and client relation functions, researching and addressing unpaid, denied and partially paid invoices. While not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, your work will include:

  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Creates and submits client invoices.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
  • Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts, as requested.
  • Solve discrepancies between invoices sent and received which may include communicating with external parties or vendors.
  • Reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis, verifies deposits and addresses inquiries from banks as needed.
  • Preparing and making bank deposits using a remote deposit system and recording the deposits in the accounting system.
  • Assists with preparation of financial statements.
  • Assists with filing various taxes and participates in other tax related activities, to ensure compliance.
  • Assists in maintaining general ledger.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, and other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
  • Adept at data entry and word processing
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion concerning confidential records
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
  • QuickBooks Online experience a plus.

Compensation

 

  • $600.00 weekly ($30 per hour)
