The Proposal Writer will play a critical role in developing high-quality, client-focused responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other business development documents. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensure alignment with company messaging, and produce winning proposals that resonate with our prospects.


Role And Responsibilities


Proposal Development:

  1. Actively participate in RFP assessment and proposal strategy development prior to responding to the RFP, including the identification of issues or concerns which require resolution prior to the submission of the proposal
  2. Write, review and edit responses from cross-functional partners and subject matter experts (SMEs) for accuracy, style and responsiveness
  3. Write, edit, and organize proposal content derived from proposal content database and Artificial Intelligence generated content to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitations accurately and persuasively.
  4. Tailor proposals to meet client-specific needs, highlighting LucyRx’s differentiators and value proposition.


Content Management

  1. Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and branding across all proposal materials.
  2. Provide new and revised proposal responses to Content Database Manager as they are developed to keep Content Database current.


Collaboration

  1. Partner with SMEs from Clinical, Operations, IT, Legal, Underwriting, Client Success, and Sales teams to gather required proposal information.
  2. Conduct interviews or research with SMEs to fill content gaps and ensure comprehensive responses.
  3. Collaborate with senior management, Sales, Underwriting and Senior Proposal Director for final proposal submission approvals.


Quality Assurance

  1. Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, conciseness, grammar, and formatting.
  2. Perform quality assurance checks on all proposal submission documents to ensure proposals meet RFP submission requirements, deadlines, and company standards.


Project Management

  1. Manage proposal timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality submissions.
  2. Simultaneously manage multiple proposal opportunities in various phases of the proposal process with competing deadlines
  3. Track proposal progress and follow up with cross-functional partners to ensure timely contributions and reviews.


Qualifications And Education Requirements


  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, preferably within the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), healthcare, or managed care industry.
  3. Familiarity with PBM products, services, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.


Skills


  1. Exceptional writing, editing, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling content.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management collaboration tools (e.g., Responsive, Ombud).
  4. Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence utilization (e.g., Copilot).
  5. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight internal and external deadlines.
  6. Works well under pressure to meet critical proposal submission deadlines and maintains professionalism at all times.
  7. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  8. Ability to problem solve and occasionally think out of the box to meet requested proposal requirements


Physical Requirements

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required. Regularly operates in an office or home office setting which involves utilizing a computer, mouse, keyboard, and occasionally operates other standard office equipment, such as printer, copier, phone. Travel may be required by either car or airplane, or a combination of multiple modes of transportation.

This is a remote position; however, you should expect to travel for team

meetings, client meetings or other collaboration needs.


Salary

$75,000-$81,000 annually
