Job Description:

A new and innovative approach to community solutions, Neighborhood Networks (NN) are United Way Metropolitan Chicago (UWMC)-led coalitions of community partners providing neighborhood-specific solutions to unique community challenges. UWMC works with Greater (GAGDC), a lead partner to deliver enhanced services in community development, income and health and education, in a central location, usually community organization or local school. Along with our sponsors and funders' like United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, GAGDC fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our communities.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across Greater Auburn Gresham. Provides organizational leadership by engaging these community partners and stakeholders in dialogues that inform and further the strategic vision of the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation's mission for the community, as well as further the coordination of and implementation of Auburn Gresham's Quality of Life Plan strategies and initiatives.

Serves as GAGC community lead convener anchored in community engagement, organizing and development to help address root causes of problems through asset-based community development practices.

The Neighborhood Network Program Manager oversees day to day partner operations and is responsible for developing, testing, managing and evaluating initiatives that contribute to the overall improvement of service delivery for residents.

Relationship Management

· Maintain relationships with community residents, businesses, leadership and program staff across greater Auburn Gresham neighborhood network service area

· Coordinate reports from Community Quality of Life Plan (QoLP) taskforce leads and make data-informed decisions related to program changes and improvements

· Attend United Way Metro Chicago cohort meetings and host Auburn Gresham Neighborhood Network meetings and work plan activities.

Strategy and Development

· Work with the GAGDC team and community partners to develop and implement workshops, volunteer events and QoLP task force meetings and activities

· Work with the Director of Special Initiatives, GAGDC and partner leaders to market and communicate neighborhood network activities

· Ensure best practices are implemented for all short-term early action and long-term neighborhood goals and aligns with organization and community outcomes
· Complete United Way reports with staff as it pertains to the service delivery

Qualifications

· Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant project management professional and/or non-profit program management work experience (required)

· Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, presentation and communication skills

· Demonstrated ability and commitment to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and levels of CBOs, government agencies, business owners and community residents on key challenges

· Experience working in south side neighborhoods of Chicago; Greater Auburn Gresham neighborhoods (a plus)

· Experience working in or managing service provider multiple network programs and initiatives

· Strong commitment to organization's mission, vision, values and brand. Representing GAGDC by presenting at key tables, forums and conferences, as needed

Hours and Compensation

Full-time (40 hours/week, 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday; additional evenings/weekends as needed) with health, dental and vision benefits (shared cost) and 401K.
