Position: Merchandising Project Manager

Location: Dallas Corporate Office

Reports to: Chief Creative Director

Summary/Objective:

The Merchandising Project Manager will collaborate with the Creative Director of Merchandising and assist with showroom layout designs and installations as well as manage project timelines to support Company strategy for sales objectives and brand awareness


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and logistics to ensure the successful execution of Visual Merchandising projects and initiatives.
  • Using 3D software, create, edit and maintain showroom and studio floor plans to use for new construction, renovation or refresh projects, including interior/exterior elevations, tile and cabinetry drawings, and 3D renderings.
  • Manage projects by developing timelines and key milestones, coordinating efforts through cross-functional teams, and ensuring execution through implementation.
  • Oversee all marketing collateral, samples, tools and deliverables to all events.
  • Coordinate buildout plans with vendor, pull in pricing, project deliverables and designs with outside vendors
  • Communicate with showrooms to coordinate logistics of incoming and outgoing product shipments pursuant to samples, displays, and location construction.
  • Responsible for keeping the department VM calendar updated.
  • Maintain consistent audit and inventory of showroom orders to ensure floorplans are always accurate.
  • Track and enter orders of Sutherland furniture as showrooms sell floor products, and make seasonal orders or requests from the Merchandising team in order to streamline floorplan updates.
  • Assist in research of products, equipment, lighting, etc., in order to spec accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Creative Director.


Requirements:

  • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree or two years of related experience
  • Experience in commercial or residential design
  • Experience with AutoCAD software and SketchUp or other 3D interior programs.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Possess strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to start a project by taking the needed steps and providing coordination for successful project completion by meeting milestones through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully multitask projects while still maintaining daily tasks pertaining to the Visual Merchandising Department.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within timelines.
