Position Summary

We are seeking a Marketing & Media Specialist to work behind the scenes, handling various technical and creative tasks that keep client projects moving. This position is salaried (non-exempt), and you will be hired as a W-2 employee. One aspect that makes this role unique is that our compensation model is salary-based and focuses on quality and efficiency, not time-tracking. If you can knock out high-quality work in fewer hours, you’re free to do so without being penalized by a lower paycheck. In cases when extra hours are authorized, overtime is paid in accordance with federal and Ohio law.


Location Requirements

• Mostly Remote: Work from home or wherever you’re most productive.

• Proximity to Franklin, OH: You must live within approximately 60 minutes of Franklin for occasional in-person meetups, training, collaborative sessions, or team luncheons/events (we like to have fun, too!).


Key Responsibilities

1. Website Building & SEO

• Build and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring fast load times and responsive design.

• Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, keyword placement, etc.) and coordinate with our SEO strategy.

• Comfortable with funnel building.

2. Digital Advertising

• Assist in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing Google Ads and Meta/Facebook Ads campaigns.

• Collaborate with team members to refine targeting, budgeting, and creative to improve ROI.

• Comfortable with Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, and CRM management (like Go High Level).

3. Media Production & Editing

• Perform video editing (Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere, or similar) for social media clips, short ads, or longer promotional pieces.

• Handle photo editing and graphic design tasks using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

• Support content shoots or production tasks involving Canon Cinema camera workflows (as needed).

4. Content Creation & Social Media

• Draft and schedule social media posts across multiple platforms.

• Write or refine blog posts, marketing copy, or promotional materials as needed.

• Manage content calendars in tools like AirTable to ensure timely delivery and consistency.

5. Project Coordination

• Use project management tools (like AirTable) to track task progress and meet deadlines.

• Work closely with our team for direction—this role does not require client-facing interaction.

6. Quality Control & Innovation

• Proofread all output for branding consistency and accuracy.

• Proactively recommend new tools, plugins, or creative techniques to enhance efficiency and deliverables.

Compensation & Employment Details

1. Weekly Salary

• A fixed salary covers your primary responsibilities and tasks.

2. Salaried, Non-Exempt Status

• You are classified as non-exempt, meaning you are eligible for overtime if overtime is pre-approved and exceeds 40 hours in a single workweek.

3. W-2 Employment

• This is a standard W-2 role, not 1099.

• All required federal, state, and local taxes will be withheld, and you’ll receive a W-2 at year-end.

4. Performance & Flexibility

• We focus on deliverables rather than hours. If you complete your work swiftly and maintain our quality standards, you’ll enjoy extra personal time.

• In instances when overtime is needed, we comply fully with Ohio and federal labor regulations.

• 1–3 years working with WordPress, SEO, and digital marketing.

• Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro X (or Adobe Premiere), AirTable, and mainstream social media platforms.

• Tech-savvy: Willing to troubleshoot technical issues on platforms like WordPress and Google Ads.
