The Mgr, Creative Operations leads the in-house creative project management and asset coordination teams responsible for process, people, productivity, and production. This includes executing on creative requests, developing & streamlining effective processes, enhancing tools & technology to drive efficiencies, and orchestrating activities across various enterprise partners to enhance productivity. These accountabilities ensure optimized resource allocation, efficient process workflows, effective technology usage, consistent adherence to timelines, and high-quality deliverables for enterprise stakeholders. This position works cross functionally with all levels including leadership to assess and implement process changes and provide support and coordination for execution of work.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee Creative Operations including the delivery of on-brand, production-ready Creative materials for distribution to respective channels through project management, file quality checks + printer coordination.

Work with the broader Creative team on the delivery of creative content across multiple touch points.

Prepare and negotiate timelines, schedules, and resources with Brand, Product, Creative, Media Production or other team members as needed. Improve prioritization of work and implement proactive forecasting.

Communicate regularly about project progress, status, scope, risks and opportunities. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication across milestones by leading key meetings, creating clear and concise agendas with owners assigned to deliverables and any next steps. Dynamically adjust schedules as required to support changes in the business and keep projects on schedule.

Optimize existing and develop new processes & templates that streamline work and allow the team to collaborate more efficiently with cross functional partners and external creative resources (agencies, contractors, etc.). Bring clarity to ownership constructs with clear roles & responsibilities. Document & train internal processes to help foster and socialize operational excellence.

Lead efforts to source, assess, socialize, onboard, and implement new creative tools/resources/technology to enable high quality and efficient work. Also, stand up a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

Design and implement standard creative reporting - Identify effective metrics to document overall team value, SLAs, and KPIs to measure the success of creative projects. Establish benchmarks for measuring results over time and produce reports on departmental progress and accomplishments.

Own ongoing creative asset maintenance and preservation across multiple content pieces including, but not limited to, 250+ articles on insights and guidance, Thrivent Magazine, and Retirement Reimagined.

Oversee photography coordination and production for Internal Thrivent photo needs.

Manage brand, content, and creative invoices.

Lead, influence and grow a high-performing creative operations team and culture; select, develop, coach, reward and recognize team members for applying their expertise to optimize efficiencies and deliver high-quality, on-brand content. Nurture an inclusive, motivating, and collaborative team environment.

Act as Creative Operations SME; foster strong and trusted relationships with the Creative, Brand, and Media teams. Maintain strong reputation with key enterprise stakeholders; lead team to partner with internal and external business partners to deliver upon requests with accuracy, efficiency and quality.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, creative, design, project management or related field.

10+ years of experience in creative/agency and/or operations function.

Strong leadership expertise coaching and developing a high-performing team; 7+ years of management experience preferred.

Proven ability to build relationships with and influence across all levels within the organization, extremely strong partnering and collaboration skills.

Self-starter with the ability to identify issues and create solutions to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders; highly accountable and action oriented.

Demonstrated experience managing complexity across a matrixed stakeholder group with the ability to simplify outputs and create scalable solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; change management.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $109,738.00 - $148,468.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
