Job Description


We’ve all been to the doctor and were handed a prescription or told to go to our local pharmacy to pick up a prescription. However, what’s largely unknown to most is that there are critical underlying systems, processes, solutions and people that support the process of a prescription ending up in the hands of the patient.

 

In Patient Experience & Support, we have a unique opportunity to provide tailored offerings to address barriers to patients’ access to treatment, and aligns to our Otsuka Patient Promise, “People Serving People.” Within Patient Experience & Support.


As part of this internship, you will be working closely with the Portfolio Operations lead within Patient Experience & Support, supporting key strategic support offerings, which include:


•Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform
•Support Center (including phone, chat and email support)
•Digital Experience (internal and external websites)

 

You will be able to see how these support functions work to support patients prescribed an Otsuka medication. This will include collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the organization, and third-party vendors that support our efforts.


Upon completion of the internship, you will have increased knowledge about the “behind-the-scenes” systems, processes and solutions within Otsuka that help support patients. One of the projects/deliverables that will be worked on is supporting the Portfolio Operations team with the organization and submission of solutions and resources through a process that will ensure everything that we do adheres to all regulations. Furthermore, you will help support the Patient Experience & Support team in their journey of evolving our digital experience for patients, including make our content more relevant and easier to find within channels (such as social media), which meets patients where and when they are seeking information.

Qualifications/ Required

 

Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
•Experience using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Not required, but experience with a Customer Relationship Management tool, such as Salesforce
•Customer Service experience
•Experience using social media tools such as TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram

 

Educational Qualifications

 

Minimum:
•Candidate pursuing their undergraduate degree with a major in business, marketing or computer science preferred
•The candidate should be in headed into their final year of school, or have just graduated
