Objective of Position
An IT Support Specialist is skilled in end-to-end user, data, voice and security systems management, configuration, installation and deployment, troubleshooting, support, onboarding, maintenance, documentation, licensing, and overall user account management of the organization. The ideal candidate will work in person and appl these skills in an MIS team environment serving and supporting internal staff, vendors and third parties in multiple geographical sites in Los Angeles County. Strong ability and inclination to take ownership and enhance specific areas of IT support services is required.
Statement of Duties
This is a dynamic role; you will interact with the MIS team and staff at the main office or at various locations throughout LA County. A typical day involves a check in with the MIS team, reporting daily duties, responding to tickets in the support platform, making calls, organizing and maintaining hardware inventory and shipments, scheduling site visits, user administration on various data and voice system platforms, documenting, creating knowledge base articles for the MIS team and end users, onboarding/offboarding and training users. Two to three times a week, you may visit other locations to deliver and set up equipment, assist staff and various IT vendors. Some of the systems and infrastructure you will be supporting include camera and access security systems, copiers and printers, smart boards, audio visual equipment, computer labs, data closets, networking equipment and cabling, end of day wrap up and communications with the MIS team.
