Job Description:

Synergy Interactive is partnering with a tech startup in the Chicagoland area to fill an HR Manager Position. This direct hire position is fully onsite in the West Loop area and will be supporting several offices including ones operating on PST hours. This role will be hands-on responsible for implementing new policies and procedures. Experience with Rippling HRIS is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and legal requirements.

• Lead and mentor the HR team in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and training.

• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.

• Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.

• Review and update employee handbook and policies annually.

• Act as a liaison between employees and management.

• Engage directly with employees to foster communication and operational excellence.

• Develop HR financial strategies, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Analyze and modify compensation policies for competitiveness and compliance.

• Analyze data to identify and resolve personnel issues.

• Lead performance management and career development planning.

• Advise senior leadership on HR matters to support business objectives.

• Monitor HR metrics to develop improvement strategies.

• Lead HR initiatives, such as restructuring and diversity efforts.

• Provide succession planning for future leaders.

• Collaborate with global teams using tech tools and accommodating different time zones.

• Preference for candidates with tech industry and global team experience.

• Attend industry conferences for education and networking.

• Lead business start-ups, including recruiting and onboarding.

• Perform other assigned duties and projects.

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in HR Management with successful HR strategy implementation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

• Experience with Rippling HRIS

• Master’s Degree in HR/Organization Leadership preferred.

• HR Certification (SHRM) required.

• Thorough understanding of HR principles and regulations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proficiency in HRIS Software and MS Office Suite.
