When We Need You
SUMMARY OF POSITION
As the Handyman at Healdsburg Inn on the Plaza, you will play a major role in maintaining the 12 rooms of this historic boutique property. Some knowledge of various trades is desirable. The right person will have an interest in learning about maintaining the building, and the ability to take directives from the Inn Manager.
Checklist items may include tasks that involve light electrical, plumbing, drywall & texture, painting, framing, machinery, etc. Our handyman will be able to assist with heavy lifting, moving of furniture and mattresses, etc. With an interest in craftsmanship, this jack-of-all-trades will be essential in keeping the property beautiful and operational.

Must work some weekends and company recognized holidays.
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and auto insurance
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with management and other employees of Four Sisters Inns.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense to various issues that arise on a regular basis.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 or more pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
