The Hospitality Manager is responsible for the execution of sales, operations, brand representation and financial success of the Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars tasting room. Develops and manages a team of highly motivated individuals dedicated to delivering superb service, driving both wine and wine club sales, and building long-term relationships with guests.
Responsibilities:
1.Oversee day-to-day hospitality operations in accordance with our operating protocols.
2. Create and manage Visitor Center staff schedules including vacation and time off requests.
3. Manage the daily flow of all scheduled visits including assigning host stations and groups.
4. Fills in when needed to ensure guest needs are met, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
5. Approve payroll for Visitor Center staff including Hosts and Back of House.
6. Track daily and monthly retail sales. Measure sales results against expectations and sales promotions.
7. Provide regular sales and performance updates to VC team via line-ups and team meetings.
8. Handle customer concerns in a positive, expedient manner.
9. Meet and greet VIP customers to ensure they have a positive experience.
10. Oversee educational opportunities for staff to ensure wine & industry knowledge is current and evolving.
11. Parter with Membership team to ensure TR team is knowledgeable on all membership updates and benefits.
12. Coordinate with sales & marketing for accommodating and reporting on Trade and VIP visits.
13. Ensure the tasting room facility is in pristine condition and well maintained.
14. Work closely with the customer service team to resolve any order inquiries or issues.
Qualifications + Requirements:
· The ideal team member will know and be practiced in the culture of topflight customer service.
· A minimum of 5 years of hospitality experience, preferably in the wine profession or related experiences.
· Position involves prolonged periods of standing to fulfill job responsibilities.
· Extensive wine knowledge and certification or coursework from accredited source is preferred.
· Strong work ethic, comfort with public speaking, and being a consummate team player with genuine enthusiasm to share your passion for wine and hospitality is paramount.
· Ability to multitask and remain calm while assisting guests on property.
· Position requires to maintain a flexible schedule to be present based on business levels.
· This position may require team members to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
