Position Summary

You’re a trusted professional and a team player. You have a proven track record with a portfolio that showcases your visual design work for web, mobile, print, and other media platforms. You enjoy working closely in the context of a greater marketing and communications team to produce high-quality content that strategically aligns with our Company’s overall brand and objectives. To be successful, you’ll need to be a detail-oriented, initiative taker. This position is full-time and remote.

Job Duties

  • Serve all stakeholders with integrity, humility, and joy while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships;
  • Participate in Company events, activities, and meetings with a smile and an infectious, great attitude;
  • Develop appealing and consistent visual designs for web, print, email, and other media including icons, typography, color palettes, and layouts;
  • Maintain and refine our design processes to ensure brand consistency and strong brand identity across all touchpoints;
  • Version creative media and design concept into a large number of required assets for high-visibility campaigns;
  • Oversee website design and user experience;
  • Work with peers to understand their communications and marketing goals, and design site features and functionality to assist with those goals;
  • Create designs that facilitate stakeholder action that aligns with company goals and design clear calls to action throughout all media for all audiences;
  • Ensure that all company media output aligns with Storybrand methodology;
  • Design and deliver wireframes, mockups, and completed designs that are compatible with a wide variety of devices and viewports, using industry-standard tools;
  • Ensure that all design aspects, including format, structure, navigation, visuals, color, and contrast meet accessibility standards;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and share your knowledge and insights with the team to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to consistently lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy, and joy;
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role, showcasing a portfolio of visual design projects that highlight a strong understanding of user-centered design;
  • Excellent eye for design, supported by a portfolio that can demonstrate these abilities and maintain an understanding of emerging design concepts, trends, strategy, and best practices;
  • Organized, motivated self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders;
  • Ability to work under creative direction and integrate feedback into the final concept;
  • Adaptability between different projects and learn new skills as the need arises;
  • A growth mindset and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to establish rapport with colleagues and leadership, gain commitment, and provide a high level of support to customers (internal and external);
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, typography, color, and layout;
  • A constant drive to learn and improve your skills, staying up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies; and
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts, or related field required;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in visual and graphic design, with emphasis on UI/UX design;
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver; Figma experience a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strict attention to detail; and
  • Ability to pass required background check.
