Job Description:

We are working with a large retail client in the Pittsburgh area and they are looking for a Graphic Designer to fill an immediate need as an Associate Brand Designer at their corporate office. This is a temporary opportunity right now but could possibly turn into something more down the road. A degree and experience in Graphic Design is a must for this role. They do work a hybrid schedule, 2 days at home and 3 days in office so candidates must be local. The Associate Brand Designer contributes to the development of creative as it pertains to packaging, brand identity, photo shoots, illustration, photo retouching, typography and layout for categories in our private brand portfolio. Partner with Brand Designers and Brand Designer Leads to execute the strategy from a creative perspective. Coordinate, shot plans and direct product photography shoots with external studio partners. Assist in all areas of design during all project phases from concept to completion.

 

Brand Design

  • Partner with Brand Designer/Lead Brand Designer to contributes to the development of creative as it pertains to packaging, brand identity, photo shoots, illustration, photo retouching, and typography for categories in our Vertical Brands portfolio
  • Ability to respond to business objective with creative and innovative design solutions and clearly communicate design strategies with product development stakeholders
  • Partner with Design Production House to manage delivery of product
  • Collaborate with partners in design, product development and marketing
  • Present overall concepts to brand design team

 

 

Market Analysis & Research

  • Research new and relevant ideas to keep designs fresh in the marketplace. This can be done through ascetic, packaging structure, photography and overall brand look tone and feel.
  • Understand competitive landscape for your category based on trends in the market that are relevant to your category
  • Keep current on design and companywide initiatives related to vertical brands.

Time & Action

  • Execute assigned projects to meet deadlines set forth by Lead Brand Designer
  • Identify risks/opportunities for design projects; present roadblocks and solutions to continue to drive the process forward

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Good communication skills and organization skills are a must

This position will focus on apparel design & clearly understands graphics design, (creating artwork, layouts, placement, repeats & colors).
