Job Description:

The Seawane Club, established in 1927, is a premier 130-acre property in Hewlett Harbor, Long Island, just 45 minutes from Manhattan. With a championship golf course, indoor golf simulator, tennis and pickleball courts, swimming pool, fitness center, and more, The Seawane Club is a cherished "home away from home" for its members.

 

Position Overview:

The Seawane Club seeks an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to lead front-of-house operations and enhance the overall dining services. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in training, managing beverage programs, collaborating on menu updates, and maintaining high service standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead front-of-house training, ensuring continuous staff development.
  • Manage and maintain the beverage inventory and oversee beverage-related events.
  • Collaborate on menu updates and handle various administrative duties.
  • Provide platinum-level service to members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment in all operational areas.
  • Actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and Daily Pre-shifts.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the F&B Director and Clubhouse Manager.

 

Candidate Specifications: Key Selection Criteria

 

Experience & Core Competencies:

  • Minimum of two years of hospitality industry experience.
  • Private club experience preferred, but candidates from luxury hotels/resorts are considered.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial understanding and knowledge of hospitality, food, wine, and service.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Club POS software, specifically Club Essentials.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication across departments and at all levels.

 

Safety and Physical Requirements:

  • Awareness of occupational hazards and ability to perform required roles in emergencies.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (based on experience).
