Your Role at KIK

The ERP Solutions Architect reports to the Chief Information Officer and brings with them a strong background in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). You are a hands-on professional with significant functional and technical expertise in warehouse management system (WMS) implementation projects, a deep understanding of SAP & Oracle ERP systems, distribution processes, transportation logistics, & supply chain management. This position is remote with the expectation you are able to travel to our Lawrenceville, GA and Rosemont, IL office.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business unit leaders and stakeholders to understand their specific requirements and tailor ERP solutions to meet their needs.
  • ERP Solution Architecture: Apply supply chain knowledge to optimize distribution processes, transportation logistics, demand forecasting, inventory management, and overall supply chain operations within the context of ERP solutions and WMS.
  • WMS Project Management: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their unique warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes. Translate these requirements into a comprehensive WMS strategy recommendation, budget & project plan.
  • WMS Integration : Oversee the seamless integration of ERP systems with WMS platforms, ensuring optimal performance, data synchronization, and efficient warehouse operations.
  • User Support: Provide ongoing support to end-users and resolve any issues related to the WMS. Offer training and guidance as needed to ensure proficient system use.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of the WMS, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to maintain system efficiency.
  • Data Analytics: Leverage data analytics to analyze warehouse operations, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Security: Ensure the security and integrity of WMS data by implementing robust security measures, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation for the WMS, including system configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with ERP vendors, WMS providers, and third-party consultants to ensure successful project delivery, resolve issues, and manage vendor relationships.
  • User Training: Develop training materials and provide hands-on training to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to new ERP solutions and WMS.
  • Change Management: Implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new ERP solutions and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, ensuring system functionality, data accuracy, and efficiency. Address and resolve any issues that arise during testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in distribution and transportation processes, WMS integration, and ERP systems. Propose enhancements accordingly.
  • Compliance: Ensure that ERP solutions and integrated WMS platforms comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and security protocols

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • ERP and WMS Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing ERP solutions, with a strong focus on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Supply Chain and Distribution Knowledge: In-depth understanding of supply chain and distribution operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Project Leadership: Proven track record in leading complex WMS implementation projects, from requirements gathering to go-live, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and budgets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background with expertise in relevant ERP and WMS technologies, databases, and integration methodologies.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation for software solutions.
  • Change Management: Knowledge of change management principles and experience in guiding organizations through significant process transitions.
  • Data Integration: Proficiency in integrating WMS with other systems, such as ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms, using APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
  • Mobile Technology: Familiarity with mobile technologies and their integration with the WMS, including handheld devices and barcode scanning solutions.
  • RFID Technology: Understanding of Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and its application in warehouse operations.
  • Automation and Robotics: Knowledge of warehouse automation solutions, such as conveyor systems, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and robotics, and their integration with the WMS.
  • Inventory Management: Strong expertise in inventory management practices, including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory optimization.
  • Multi-Site Operations: Experience with managing WMS for multi-site or multi-location warehouses, including handling complex distribution networks.
  • Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud-based WMS solutions and their deployment options, such as SaaS (Software as a Service).
  • Must be willing to travel at a minimum of 25%.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At KIK, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees. This position has a base salary range of $150,000 – 160,000 plus an annual incentive bonus or commission target. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
