HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the powertrain development team.  This position plays an important role in the creation and validation of powertrain designs.  This individual interacts with all aspects of the organization, including marketing, manufacturing, procurement, to ensure that we deliver quality forklift trucks that meet customer requirements and acceptance.  Join our team as we take forklift design to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Develop engine systems that will integrate with other truck systems.
• Support development testing to ensure design robustness to requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans (DVP&R, validation, etc.) for complete vehicle, system, and  components
• Analyze data and communicate test results both verbally and through written reports
• Provide guidance to technicians and mechanics
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing and Aftermarket groups to support engineering activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Formal education with a minimum BS in Engineering.  Mechanical focus preferred.
• Knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology.
• Experience or knowledge in data acquisition
• Drawing practices, CAD, engineering analysis, design layouts
• Desire for ‘hands on’ work in a shop environment
