Summary
Insignia Federal Group is a professional consulting firm headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia. We have an excellent opportunity for a Drupal Developer to support a federal government client. This role requires developing custom PHP code and modifying Drupal content management system (CMS) modules. The Developer should be independently motivated and dynamic, have solid object-oriented development skills, and be adept and knowledgeable in the principles of design and web development languages.
Successful candidate will have:
Web and software development experience -
· Familiarity with Drupal 9/10/11, content types, and views
· Experience with source control solutions and git workflow (Gitlab, GitHub), including commits, branches, merging
· Technical acumen to write and comprehend code specifications
· Understanding of Drupal theming and Twig templating, including an aptitude to develop Twig templates, CSS files, and necessary image assets
· Understanding of contributed modules and basic site-building
· Willingness to learn Drupal API and best practices
· Awareness of Drupal security updates and patching
· Desire to learn DevOps tools and workflows
· Basic understanding of web security principles
· Willingness to learn access control and authentication concepts
· Ability to analyze and troubleshoot fundamental site issues
· Awareness of caching and site performance concepts
· Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere and merge code with multiple peers
· Proactive communication and collaboration skills with team members/clients of varying technical expertise

· Exposure to RESTful APIs and integrations
· Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. HTML and CSS code quality is exceptional, semantically correct, and easily scalable
· Experience using debugging tools (e.g., browser dev tools, Drupal logs)
· Familiarity with deployment processes and environments
Required Qualifications: MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or two or more years’ experience in Web-based applications and design without a four-year degree. Must be detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and can follow directions. Possesses a project-focused attitude, an aptitude for solving complex problems, and a demonstrable learning ability. Before the interview, you must submit a resume and agree to a verbal and Drupal/PHP coding test.
