Job Description:

Robson Ranch Texas located in Denton, is a master planned active adult community for the 55+ population with approximately 2,700 acres. Employees work at many of the amenities at Robson Ranch serving the residents of the community. Our amenities include the 18-hole championship Wildhorse Golf Club, which added a second nine-hole golf course in 2019 and the Cimmaron Sports Club that features indoor and outdoor pools, a multi-purpose gymnasium, fitness center, multi-purpose rooms and salon services.

The Wild Horse Grill in the Robson Ranch Texas community is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage.

PURPOSE OF POSITION /SUMMARY

This position has ultimate responsibility for all F&B operations within the community. Will ensure food quality and service standards are maintained through management of support staff. Responsible for developing, monitoring and reviewing various budgets associated with the department. Will regularly meet with HOA committees and Board members on a variety of F&B related issues. Works with management group to ensure hiring, training, inventory control, quality control, cost controls, member relations, fiscal responsibility are all maintained. Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsibility for F&B staff to include providing quality food, beverages and service. This may include interviewing, hiring, training, payroll, salary decisions/promotions/performance reviews, disciplinary issues, and termination of staff.
  • Monitoring Food & Service Quality- Setting Standards and making sure they are being followed.
  • Monitor budgets. Monthly meeting with HOA Board, Department Heads and committees to present/discuss F&B related issues such as member relations, business development, budgets, and improvements to menus or functions. Facilitate staff meetings.
  • Prepare annual budget from previous year projections/actual goals reached along with General Manager of restaurant operations. Once completed, it is presented to the HOA Board for approval.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/COMPUTER/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years F&B management experience, preferably in a retirement community
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Basic and Manager Training for Alcohol Service
  • Sound knowledge of cost controls & industry standards
  • General Computer skills
