Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and technologically savvy Data Entry / Bookkeeping Assistant to join our property management team. This part-time position is ideal for a college student looking for flexible work hours that can accommodate their academic schedule. The role involves a variety of tasks including data entry, bookkeeping, and administrative support, making it a perfect opportunity for someone interested in gaining valuable experience in the real estate and property management industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technology, with proficiency in Excel and other data management tools. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be responsible for accurately inputting data, double-checking your work, and ensuring the integrity of our records. Your ability to follow instructions precisely, multitask effectively, and communicate efficiently with team members will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities will include managing and updating databases, assisting with financial record-keeping, and supporting our team with various administrative tasks. While some experience in property management is advantageous, what's more important is your eagerness to learn and grow within the industry. Compensation:

$20 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:

 

  • Accurately input and update data in company databases, ensuring all information is current and correct
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including managing financial records, processing invoices, and preparing reports
  • Utilize Excel and other data management tools to organize, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits of data entry work to ensure accuracy and consistency in record-keeping
  • Follow detailed instructions for data management and bookkeeping procedures, adhering to company policies and industry regulations
  • Multitask across various administrative tasks, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and support team needs
  • Communicate efficiently with team members, providing updates and insights related to data management and bookkeeping activities
  • Show initiative in learning and understanding the property management industry, applying this knowledge to enhance data accuracy and relevance
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the company's success

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate, with a focus on business, finance, or a related field preferred, but all majors are welcome to apply
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other data management software. Experience with Buildium property management software is highly desirable
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent typing skills and the ability to efficiently manage and input large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated ability to follow complex instructions and execute tasks with precision
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with team members
  • A proactive learner with a genuine interest in the property management industry and a willingness to expand knowledge and skills in this area
