Job Description:

The Controller will report directly to the CEO. The Controller will perform all the necessary daily functions in a professional and ethical manner. Position responsibilities include:

Responsibilities.

 

  • Manage all accounting functions for the company, including general ledger, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Manage and develop all accounting and financial functions of our POS system.
  • Manage and develop the support staff.
  • Produce timely flash reports on all areas of our operation.
  • Assist the Manager of Operations in producing and analyzing budgets, budget vs. actual and profit and loss.
  • Analysis of all expense line items, including providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and maximize cash flow.
  • Manage and control inventory control, including producing accurate reports of shrinkage, turns, damages and returns.
  • Provide input and assist in the production of all related subjects regarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide input and information on all short and long term plans.
  • Manage all HR functions for the company, including payroll, employee benefits, workers compensation, and unemployment cases.
  • Any other assignment as directed by the CEO.
  • This is a position in progress, changes/updates will occur as needed.
  • Responsible for monthly and year-end financials.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum two (2) years hands-on experience.
  • Retail and inventory experience beneficial, but not a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial statements and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in creating cash flow reports, journal entries, and managing overall financial operations per the Role Description details listed above.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis & reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to manage & develop a team.
