Provide technical assistance to customers, such as orienting them to computer resources and resolving common customer problems. Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, such as verifying eligibility for access to systems. Set up hardware and install software, following organization standards. Train users in operating equipment. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and perform basic maintenance and repair of parts and equipment.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training.
Preferred Education:
Relevant certification.
Required Experience:
1-2 years of related experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience providing customer support in an IT environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic understanding of computing procedures and standards and desktop configurations.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $32.00. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
