Job Description:

The Community Relations Advocate (CRA) is a business development specialist responsible and accountable for securing the placement of ATRS Clothing and Shoe Donation bins, as well as, the increased collection of donations of clothing, shoes and household textiles to the donation bins placed within their assigned territory. The CRA will act as the face and ambassador of their local ATRS branch in the development and maintenance of partner relationships with property owners, property managers, municipal officials, business owners and business managers and will follow the direction of their Market Team Manager to be an integral part of the local and corporate team.

COMPANY PROVIDED TOOLS: Company Vehicle during business hours, cell phone allowance, laptop

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Prospects for potential donation bin locations; Conducts sales presentations to prospective partners; Secures new donation bin locations; Repositions or finds alternative locations for low producing donation bins; Maintains desirable locations; Meets Market goal expectations for territory route donation collections; Files reports in a timely manner to manager; Builds and maintains a data base of all prospects and contacts complete with email address; Works with branch and corporate team to maximize company effectiveness both at a branch and corporate level when needed; Acts and presents in a professional, ethical manner to promote the good will and reputation of ATRS and the Non-Profit Organizations we serve.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; Understands the value of a customer service orientation and has the ability to foster that mentality with internal and external customers; Good presentation skills; Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Word; Ability to anticipate business needs and plan accordingly; Ability to work well independently and exercise good judgement.

REQUIRED: One to three years outside sales experience; Driving record which meets company standards; A high level of analytical skills is required to address issues, develop a range of possible solutions and select the best option.
